The OSEA Project is sponsored by the Olivet School of Engineering and Architecture with a purpose to engage interest in the professional field of engineering and architecture.

Ministers, non-majors, potential students, and enthusiasts are welcome to participate in seasonal programs aimed to not only develop new skills and interest but also benefit Christian ministries through hand built environments.

Summer 2020

Overview

The OSEA Project aims to create opportunities for enthusiasts to explore the possibilities of engineering, planning, design, and construction as a career. Gain new skills and also credit from completing the 4-week program. Participants can earn OSEA credit while helping ministries through projects that develop built environments.

Participants attend and interact on specially designed projects guided by professionals and engineering faculty while experiencing life on a university campus.. The activities are hands-on lab sessions intermixed with educational field trips and fellowship.

The OSEA Project is designed to be and engaging learning experience that also improves the physical lives of Christians through buildings and architectural environments.

Requirement

The OSEA Project is a rigorous educational summer program, designed to attract enthusiasts in the field of engineering.

Requirements to take part in the project:

  • Have interest in engineering, design, construction, or architecture
  • Participate in all scheduled activities
  • Submitted online apply form

Housing & Meals

Housing and meals are included as part of the program. While attending The OSEA Project, participants will reside at Olivet University’s Riverside Campus.

Each dorm room includes bunk beds, a mini-fridge, desks, and internet. There are no in-room telephones, so students are encouraged to bring a cell phone. Laundry and vending machines are available on campus, at no cost of the participant. Meals will be served three times per day, seven days a week in the Dining Hall.
